Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Iâm Arkham, and let me warn you right now, my tail wags nonstop! I came in as a stray, and while the shelter has tried to keep up with my âhappy tail,â the truth is I just canât help it. Iâm a nearly 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with an endless grin, a goofy spirit, and a big heart. I adore people, love to soak up attention, and do well with most dogs as long as we get a proper introduction. I bring joy wherever I go, whether itâs zooming in the yard, soaking up belly rubs, or greeting you with that signature full-body wag. My dream is to find a forever home where my tail can stay happy without bumping into kennel walls, one filled with love, play, and lots of laughs.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
