Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 350.00. PLEASE go to our website .collarofhope to read all information about our puppies, rescue, adoption process and to submit our adoption application. All of our information does not transfer to the adoption sites. Before completing our adoption application, please consider the following: Is someone home to raise and train a puppy? Do you have a securely fenced yard for the puppy? Can you give a puppy a 15ish year commitment? Pretzel is a darling Heeler girl who's looking for a heeler or herding breed experienced home. She's initially a bit shy (typical for this breed) but comes out of her shell pretty quickly, especially if there's another dog around. She's doing well now with crate training and regular potty outtings and is doing pretty well on leash. Could you be her new family? Our puppies are or will be neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated age appropriate (they may need additional vaccines), de-wormed and parasite treated/prevented throughout their time with CoH as a foster puppy.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
