Whether it's a fun game of fetch or a walk around the block, Lu is always up for some quality time together. If you sit or lie down, she’ll be right there next to you, happily soaking up all the pets and cuddles you’ll give—she’s a total lovebug. Luella knows a few basic commands like “sit” and “shake,” but she’s still working on “down” or “off,” especially when she gets excited and jumps up to be closer to you. She may pull a bit at the beginning of walks but tends to settle as she goes. When my 6-year-old plays with his toys, Luella will quietly sit beside him and watch, happy just to be near. Lu does best if she is kenneled when left alone, as she can get a little mischievous when unsupervised. While she might whine for a few minutes when first kenneled, she calms down quickly. She has a playful, energetic spirit and enjoys the company of other dogs. Slow introductions are best, as her enthusiasm can be a bit much for more reserved pups. Luella would thrive in a cat-free home, as she has a tendency to chase them. She’s a true gem of a pup with endless love to give, just waiting for the right family to share it with!
