Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed. Meet Hope! Hope is a 3 year old female Pit/Catahoula mix that weighs 53 Lbs. She was found off of Sky Harbor in Rockwall on 05/23/25 and never reclaimed. When Hope was found, she was missing around 90% of her hair, severely underweight and her nails were grossly overgrown. Even though she was in rough shape she never lost hope and quickly learned to trust RAC staff. Hope's fur has started to regrow and loves getting attention from staff and volunteers. We are unsure how she does around other dogs, so if you have another canine in the home a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption. Hope is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccine, basic boosters to due and heartworm negative. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
