Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Meet Teddy – Your New Best Friend! Teddy is a sweet, lovable, two-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. He’s a medium-sized pup who starts off a little shy but quickly warms up and shows his goofy, affectionate side. Teddy is great with other dogs, loves belly rubs, and enjoys a good game of fetch or a cozy nap by your side. He’s house-trained, neutered, and ready to become part of a loving family who can give him the attention, patience, and playtime he deserves. Teddy would thrive in a home where he can continue to build his confidence and feel safe and loved. Teddy’s inquisitive and a smart, fast learner. He knows some commands and learns well by watching other dogs. In the dog park, he loves to chase and be chased by any size dog that will play with him, little or big. He gets the Zoomies, loves to fetch a ball or two at a time and is hilarious to watch. He’s as sweet as he is goofy and loves his cuddles. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share your adventures and cuddle on the couch, Teddy might just be the perfect match! If you’re interested in Teddy, Email Jimmy: jbdabarme

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
