Description
Dog Breed: Boxer / Terrier / Mixed. Meet McDouble! He is a young fella, full of energy and love. His days have been packed with fun and frolic. He is a bit of a goofball, always ready to make you laugh with his playful antics. He is super friendly, not just with humans, but with his fellow dogs, too. He has a blast playing together with them. He is also quite the cuddle bug. He loves to snuggle up after a day of play. He will fill your life with laughter, love, and a whole lot of fun. Adopting him would mean endless days of joy and companionship. At 10 months, he already weighs 46 pounds, but that might be expected as he is a brown and white Boxer mix. Boxer mixes are known for being playful, energetic, and affectionate. They are social dogs who love to be around their family. McDouble has had numerous other dogs and kids in his company, and he is very comfortable with them. It is not known if has ever met a cat. It would be best to start at the beginning with a refresher course on the skills of house, crate and leash training. Daily short walks will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. Please note: He may not be a running companion until at least age one when his growth plate closes. He would also appreciate free time in a back yard or engaging in interactive canine activities to burn off his puppy energy. Keeping his mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom. McDouble will want to be with a family that will give lots of affection and attention to him. In return, he will become a wonderful family companion. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Jamie is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
