Meet this sweet senior Tilly, if you are looking for a laid-back cuddle bug to love on, she’s your gal. She doesn’t let her eyesight stop her from exploring the home, or outside. She loves to be by your side and is always happy to greet you when you come home. She is house trained and has done well with other dogs and cats. She would be the perfect addition to any home. She loves my daughters, 15 and 17, she sleeps in bed all night with my youngest. She wants to be around her all the time. She eats very well at meal time, we have her eating about every 12 hours, usually around 6 am and 6 pm She likes to be outside in the backyard, she will walk on a leash, but sometimes she gets a little squirrely and tries to bite it, but did well with a harness, and on short little walks. She sits nice when brushing her, doesn’t love her legs touched We have a dog, she didn’t really pay any attention to him, he never really paid her any attention either, just some smells and zoomies around her, same with our cat, he just ran away anytime he saw Tilly. She is quiet, rarely barks. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
