Dog Breed: Manchester Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 415. Meet Figgy! Our adorable 22 pound, 9 month old bundle of love!! Figgy is believed to be a Manchester Terrier mix who has the best eyebrows around and is the most delicious love muffin around that will make a wonderful companion. Little Miss Figgy is fantastic in so many ways! She is a quick learner who always wants to her best. She aims to please! Figgy plays well with other dogs, especially those who are larger than her and she totally holds her own! After all the fun, she crashes hard for naps and snuggles so cuddle up! Her favorite spot is cozied up in your side with her head on your shoulder. There’s nothing like waking up to some of Figgy’s hugs and kisses. She craves your hugs and kisses in return. She is also kid friendly as well. Plus this sweetie is fully crate trained and is working hard on potty training. Figgy is timid to strangers but once she is shown some love she’ll be your new best friend. This bundle of energy and extremely sweet lovin’ little girl is impossible not to love. All our altered, up to date with vaccinations, Heartworm tested, microchipped and on preventatives. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: havenanimalrescuenebraska/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
