FRENCH FRY - BEAGLE DOG FOR ADOPTION

Dog Breed: Beagle. Adoption Fee: 300. French Fry is approximately 8 yrs of age. She was used for breeding. She came to us through the south with a leg that was clearly previously broken and not repaired properly. Matter of fact, she had zero care for the leg as well as the rest of her. Her leg was broken severely but with no care, it healed mangled and had scar tissue throughout. It became hard and useless. French Fry was emaciated as well. We removed her leg and she is doing very well as a tripod. She has gained weight and is healthy now. An adopter will need to make sure she remains this healthy weight as tripods cannot afford to be overweight. We also spayed her and then got on with treating heartworms that she had. French Fry is now finished treatment. French fry is a mellow girl who loves attention. She gets around fine but stairs could be an issue. She goes in and out the dog door and is housetrained. She is good with other dogs but is not playful. Adoption fee is $300 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62.
