As the only boy in a litter of five, Greg has stood out from the start—not just for his sweet face, but for his gentle, affectionate nature. Greg’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He and his sisters came into the world under tough circumstances—found abandoned alongside their brave mama, who worked so hard to keep them safe. While his mom and all four sisters have already found their forever homes, Greg has had to wait just a little longer so he could grow big enough to be neutered. Now, it’s his turn to shine. Still a young pup, Greg is in that fun and curious stage of life where everything is new and exciting. He’ll need the usual puppy training basics—potty training, leash manners, and learning not to steal your socks—but he's eager to learn and eager to please. With some patience and love, he'll grow into a well-mannered companion. Greg gets along wonderfully with kids, adults, and other dogs, and he’s always up for playtime or cuddles. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
