Description
Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Meet Rosie â an absolute sweetheart who canât wait to share her sunshine with you! This happy girl loves zooming around the yard, going on long walks, and then curling up for a cozy snuggle session (ideally right next to you, of course). Rosie has wonderful leash manners and makes friends easilyâboth human and canine. She can get a little too excited sometimes and may get mouthy when sheâs having fun, but she means no harm and quickly responds to gentle redirection. Sheâs super polite when taking treats and is currently honing her skills with the Kong treat ballâpractice makes perfect! When sheâs not busy showing off her chew-toy collection (she is a strong lady who needs extra-durable toys), Rosie is happy to relax in her crateâthough sheâd much rather be your bedtime cuddle buddy. Rosie is a lovable, energetic people-pleaser whoâs ready to bring laughter, love, and tail wags to her forever home.

Overview:
The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a robust and intelligent breed, originating in the United States from crossbreeding Old English Terriers and Old English Bulldogs for dog-fighting purposes. Physically, they are medium-sized, known for their muscular build, broad heads, and powerful jaws, typically weighing between 30-60 pounds. Their coats are short and come in a wide array of colors. Temperamentally, a well-socialized APBT is often described as loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented, displaying a playful and sometimes clownish demeanor. They can be excellent family companions, provided they receive consistent training and early socialization, though their high energy levels mean they thrive with active owners. While they can adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, a house with a secure yard is often preferred. Notable health considerations include a predisposition to hip and elbow dysplasia, allergies, and certain heart conditions.
