Description

Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). SHADOW - 2 years old, 40 pounds, Surrendered when her owner had no time for her, petite with deep dark black fur SHADOW now sits scared in her shelter cage. She is finally and happily coming out of her shell and starting to show an interested, curious and friendly girl. When she does feel comfortable with you, she is very loving and loves to be near her humans. Shadow has not been around other dogs so we tested her in our shelter playgroup. She did great! She was def nervous but allowed others to sniff her appropriately and also sniffed others appropriately. A couple of the dogs did their best to engage Shadow and finally she started to oblige! She ran, fast as lightening and leaving the others in her dust! So fast! We are in constant supervision, however, and we were able to get others away from her right away if they wouldn’t back off. Shadow might need slow and proper introductions. Allow her to proceed at her own pace. She began approaching me after a few minutes and then even allowed be in her kennel with her when I brought her back inside. Come on in to meet this pretty girl!
