Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (short coat). Hunter (A556310) Hunter is a striking Siberian Husky with all the personality and energy you'd expect from this intelligent, high-drive breed. At just 4-years-old, he's full of curiosity and eager to explore the world. Originally adopted and returned for being `too much,` Hunter is now looking for a home that understands what it means to love and commit to a working breed. Siberian Huskies thrive with regular physical activity, mental stimulation, and consistent trainingâand Hunter is no exception. On walks, he started off with excited zig-zagging, but once he had space to decompress, he settled into a nice rhythm on leash. He loved running around and sniffing everything in sight. He wasnât overly focused on meâand thatâs okay. Right now, he's adjusting to the shelter environment and understandably a bit anxious. With time, structure, and patience, he'll begin to trust and open up. Hunter could benefit from some basic training (he did hump me briefly during our walk, which may be stress-related), but he's a smart dog whoâs ready to learn and eager for a second chance. If youâre ready to provide the lifelong love, enrichment, and exercise a Husky like Hunter deserves, he just might be your perfect match. Breed overview

Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Chukcha, Chuksha
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is very similar in looks to the Alaskan Malamute, yet somewhat smaller in build and not quite as bold. Still, he needs a strong-willed owner who will stay in control. This dog loves to roam and explore, so he needs a nice big yard.
