Sparkle is a darling 6 month old pup, likely a lab and black mouth cur mix, sweet as can be, a shy and loving young lady, dumped along with her sister, Dazzle, like so many others and left to fend for themselves. Both are likely to be medium to large dogs when grown, definitely great family dogs based on their personalities and behavior. We are busy fattening them back up, they’ve received proper vetting, have been spayed, and are ready to dazzle ✨and sparkle in homes of their very own! If you’re looking for a young, trainable, loving family pet, please consider Sparkle. She will not disappoint! Applications can be submitted through lgarinc/adoption-application/. Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone. All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
