Dog Breed: Husky / Shepherd / Mixed. Meet Kai – When one of our long-time supporters spotted a stray in need, they didn’t give up. Thanks to their determination, Kai is now safe and part of our rescue family. Kai is a 49 pound, 2-3 year old Husky/Shepherd mix who was living on the streets before he was rescued. He was immediately taken to the vet, where he received vaccines, a microchip, and much-needed flea & tick treatment. Because his rescue was urgent, Kai is currently in boarding—but it’s clear he’s overwhelmed and scared in this unfamiliar environment. He's still decompressing and figuring out how to feel safe again. We don’t know much about Kai’s past, but we do know this: he is a sweet, quiet boy who just needs time, patience, and love. He’ll thrive in a calm, nurturing home where he can build trust and confidence at his own pace. Kai will benefit from basic training, socialization, and lots of gentle encouragement. Kai needs a foster—someone to show him the kindness he’s never known. Could that be you?
