Dog Breed: Schnauzer / Mixed. Available for Adoption! Spirit is a sweet and affectionate pup with a gentle soul and a joyful personality. While he may be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. He’s incredibly smart and picks up on things quickly — a fast learner ready to impress! Spirit loves entertaining himself with his toys, especially his favorite ball, which he’ll chase and pounce on like a playful cat. He enjoys exploring the yard, and his curious nature makes every adventure He’s also comfortable being on his own, making him a well-balanced companion. Spirit will make a wonderful addition to any home and is sure to bring endless love, laughter, and heartwarming moments.exciting. This lovable boy is crate trained, reliably lets you know when he needs to go potty, and always takes care of business when he’s outside. He is good with kids, cats and all dogs. Spirit has 2 vet visits, is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated - DHPP x 2 (needs 2 more to be fully vaccinated and is included), Rabies, & Bordetella x 2. He’s had a 4DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and 2 fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
