Description
Dog Breed: Springer Spaniel / Rottweiler / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Cora! Cora is a beautiful young Springer mix, born around March 2023 and weighing approximately 60 lbs. She came to No Dogs Left Behind while pregnant and has since raised six adorable puppies—all of whom have found their forever homes! Now this sweet girl is looking for a loving family of her own. Cora is a happy, high-energy dog who absolutely loves being around her humans. She still gets a little bouncy when she’s excited, but she’s learning that lying down earns her lots of praise (and belly rubs!). Once she’s settled, Cora is the ultimate cuddle buddy—she’ll happily lounge next to you (or sometimes right on top of you) soaking up all the affection and brushings she can get. Playtime is one of Cora’s favorite parts of the day! She loves tug-of-war, chasing the ball, and romping around with the resident dog in her foster home. She walks nicely on leash, though she can get a little enthusiastic when she sees other dogs. Cora also enjoys joining her foster family on outdoor patio adventures, where she likes to keep an eye on all the people and pups passing by. Out in the yard, Cora shines—running, exploring, and keeping the space “safe” from birds and squirrels. She’s curious and playful, and because she loves to chase small critters, she would do best in a home without cats or other small pets. She is quiet and rarely barks, making her a great candidate for homes with shared walls or apartments. Cora is crate-trained and completely housebroken. She sleeps soundly in her kennel overnight and relaxes there while her foster family is at work—often found snoozing on her back with her paws in the air! She happily runs into her crate for meals or a tasty treat and enjoys having a tough chew toy to keep her busy. Smart and eager to please, Cora has been picking up training quickly and would be an excellent fit for someone interested in dog sports or continued training. She loves giving hugs and is working on keeping her excitement in check around kids—she just has so much love to share! Cora gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a playful companion—but she’d also be perfectly content as your one and only, soaking up all the love. This sweet, affectionate, and spirited girl has given her all as a mom and is now looking for a home where she can be the one pampered and adored. Cora can’t wait to meet her forever family! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
