Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Bruce earned his nickname for a reason: HONEY BEAR! He is just a big-hearted, sweet, gentle, cuddle bug. He lives for belly rubs, back scratches, and leaning in close for affection. Truly a certified snuggle pro. Out and about, Bruce is a total gentleman. He's an easy walker, calm and curious, and even when other dogs bark at him, he just glances over and keeps strolling. He's dog-friendly and especially loves playing with female pups who match his play style. He's been enjoying day trips with volunteers, where he's proven himself to be an awesome car passenger and the chillest adventure buddy. Unbothered king! He loves nature walks, canoodling in the yard, and lounging in the sun like a baked potato until someone comes over for cuddles. Bruce has also been participating in training sessions at the shelter to polish his manners, and he's thriving! He can get some zoomies or a little overstimulated at times, but he's easily redirected and settles down quickly. Plus, he’s the gentlest treat taker around. No cats please, but he'd be an amazing addition to a dog-friendly home that appreciates a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
