Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Steinbeck is a happy healthy eight-week old puppy who appears to be a shepherd mix potentially mixed with a lab or a pitbull. My wife and I found Steinbeck and his sister abandoned on the side of the road and never saw the mother or father dog so we're not entirely sure his breed. He weighs about 15 pounds at two months old and looks like he should grow to about 50 pounds. Steinbeck is cuddly playful curious and affectionate. He loves running around our backyard exploring behind the garden and chewing on my socks when I go outside to play with him. He loves falling asleep in my lap at night and is very submissive-he lets me turn him over onto his back and play with his paws and never has shown any aggression at all. He plays very well with our older dogs and responds well when they tell him to calm down. He's very food motivated already which makes me think he will be easy to train. He is really the perfect puppy. The only reason we are adopting Steinbeck out is because we already have three full-grown rescue dogs and realistically don't have space for two more. Five dogs to two people would be a bit too much to handle. My wife and I are fostering and hoping to find a good forever home for him that will put in the work to socialize and train him–he seems like he will be a brilliant dog that needs attention. He's currently being vaccinated and scheduled for his neuter.
