Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed (short coat). Adorable and sweet 4 month old female puppy This listing is not affiliated with Desoto Animal Rescue Society. Please contact owner at krrawlins01gmail Ann's pic is second, her brother, Andy, is second Hello! My wonderful dog Tanzanite ended up pregnant from a neighborhood stray that kept breaking in to the backyard just before I could get her fixed. She had eight babies on her own February 26,2025, unfortunately one of them was stillborn but the other seven are healthy and thriving. I was able to find good loving homes for most of them, but the problem is there are still two puppies without a home(one boy, one girl). I am moving out of state very soon and cannot take them with me. I have posted them many times online and talked to many shelters but have yet to find anyone who is able to take them. They do not have any formal names, we have just been referring to them as Anne and Andy. Anne is a rambunctious girl with lots of personality who loves to play. Andy is the sweetest smartest boy who would do anything to make his owner happy.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
