Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. *ISABELLA IS A CAUCASIAN SHEPHERD. BREED EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ADOPTERS* Meet Isabella! Izzy is a sweet, soulful pup who's blossoming a little more every day. This mellow girl moves at her own gentle pace, taking the world in with curious eyes and a wagging tail. Clumsy in the most adorable way, Izzy is still finding her footing — sometimes literally! She's learning the ropes of her new routine, discovering that mealtimes are magical and nap spots are even better when shared with her furry friends. Izzy is slowly but surely warming up to playtime with her new dog and cat foster siblings, each game of chase and sniff bringing out more of her playful side. With every wag and wiggle, Izzy is growing braver, learning that love, friendship, and a little patience can go a long way. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Isabella is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT ISABELLA!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
