BABS TX - CHIHUAHUA / MIXED (SHORT COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Description

Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Babs (and her sister Khloe) lived with the same owner for all of her 12 years. Her world was turned upside down when her owner had a stroke and could no longer care for her. And as is the case way too often, no one in the family was in a position to take her into their home. So she was on the hunt for a new life and, being the heroes that they are, Northstar stepped up for both girls. Babs is 12 years old with no known health issues at this time and she weighs only 10 lbs. Her Texas foster will be getting to know her over the next few weeks so we will provide more info as we get it. And we will take her to our vet to make sure she is as healthy as she seems. So far we know that Babs doesn’t seem to be quite as food motivated as Khloe, although she never misses a meal. She will take treats from foster mom and when she came out of her crate this evening to eat, foster mom was able to pet her while she ate with no issues. Babs appears to be the more social of the two sisters at this moment.
