Dog Breed: Shepherd / Cattle Dog / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 185.00. London is a sweetie who is looking for a home to call his own. He is probably a shepherd or cattle dog mix and will weigh 50-55 lbs when grown. London is crate trained and is quiet in his crate overnight. He does not bark much overall. He gets along well with the other dogs in the home and would really love to have a buddy to play with. He adores playing with his chewy toys and spending time with his people. He is happy being in the house and playing in the yard. He has a laid back personality with a moderate energy level. He is house broken and not food aggressive with people or with other dogs. London is working on his obedience training and comes when called and knows how to sit, lay down and walks on a leash. London is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm/flea prevention, has a microchip and is neutered.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
