Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Meet Westley! Born around December 3rd, 2024, Westley is a handsome Lab/Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This sweet boy is potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night like a champ! Westley is incredibly smart and already knows commands like sit, leave it, no, and come, and he's currently working on stay. He walks well on leash and is very treat motivated, making continued training a breeze. He's also playful and cuddly, with a special love for garden hose chase and cozy couch time. Westley gets along great with other dogs and has recently met cats—he’s curious but not aggressive, though he might try to chase, so a slow introduction is best. He’s lived with kids (as young as 6) and is gentle, though his Shepherd side does show in some herding behavior—he may try to herd people or dogs and give little nips, so he’ll need guidance as he grows out of that. He’s not destructive with toys or home décor, prefers companionship, and will happily be your binge-watching buddy. He’s also a natural watchdog with a strong bark, but his wiggly booty and eagerness to please prove he's all love at heart. Westley is looking for a forever family who will continue his training and give him all the love he deserves. Could that be you?
