Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. ____________________________________________________________ COORDINATOR; KELLI WILLIAMSON Zeke is a one-year-old neutered Belgian Malinois with the heart of a teddy bear and the energy of a caffeinated squirrel. He’s got a serious case of toy obsession, so be ready to negotiate like a pro—he only trades up, never down (bring a second toy, or prepare to be outwitted). He’s sweet as pie with his humans, shows zero aggression, and absolutely does not believe in being an overprotective drama queen. Zeke plays well with dogs his own size—he’s all about respectful playdates and proper pup manners. He’s house-trained and kennel-approved, though fair warning: if he gets too excited, he might sprinkle a little joy (read: tinkle). Zeke’s a smart cookie—he knows his name, sit, lay down, spin, “kinda” heel (we love the honesty), and walks like a champ on a leash. Just keep him away from lawn mowers and garden hoses unless you want a canine meltdown. ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
