Dog Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Pending ADOPTION: Meet Lucky – Looking for a Foster-to-Adopt Home! Lucky is an 8-year-old dachshund with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. This sweet boy was surrendered to our rescue when his beloved owner entered long-term care. While he is not currently available for adoption, we are searching for a foster-to-adopt home where he can continue to thrive. We do take him to vist the owner infrequently which is why we need to keep him in our foster program, for now. Thanks to his amazing foster mom, Lucky has already lost 5 pounds and is feeling so much better! He recently had a dental procedure (with more to come), and he’s been a trooper through it all. However, she is moving out of state soon so we need to find him a good home in the Raleigh/Durham area. Lucky enjoys short walks, soft beds, and lots of cuddles. He’s housebroken, easygoing, and good with routines. He’s not a fan of chaos, so a calm and loving home is ideal either as an only dog or maybe one fur sibling. Location: We are looking for a foster-to-adopt family in or near the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue provides all medical care and supplies while he’s in foster.
