Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: $350. Pandora — From Broken Leg to Bouncy Pup! At just 6 months old, Pandora has already shown more resilience than most dogs twice her age. This 25 lb Bully Terrier mix with her unique scruffy coat was heartbreakingly dumped at a vet’s office with a broken leg—scared, hurting, and all alone. But Pandora’s story didn’t end there. The vet called us first, knowing we wouldn’t let her be euthanized due to lack of funds—and we didn’t hesitate. After successful surgery, lots of rest, and even more love, Pandora is now fully cleared to play, wrestle, and romp with her canine friends again! No more restrictions—just tail wags, zoomies, and pure puppy joy. She’s still mastering her house and crate training—tough to do while recovering—but she’s eager to learn and adores her people. Pandora is: Dog- and kid-friendly UPDATE: playful and will chase thinking a puppy playmate but should do well with dog savvy cats. Super affectionate—a total snuggler and kiss machine Playful, goofy, and full of puppy energy Being fostered with love in Harrisburg, PA Up-to-date on vaccines Pandora’s past was painful, but her future is wide open—ready for belly rubs, best friends, and a forever family to love her like she deserves. Are you the one to help her write the happiest chapter yet? New Oxford, PA 17350 | LIC #9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at .pack9rescue. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
