Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). I’m as sweet as a pecan bun. Can’t you see it in my face that I’m a loving girl? I would just puff out like a yeast roll if a family could warm up to me. I know that I’m not a puppy girl but that doesn’t mean that I’m not a canine to be loved! Hey, I will make a great addition to any home so, don’t overlook this sweet adult. I promise that I will never be a sourdough. So come and let’s see if we can find a honey bee tree together. Here is what the staff has to say about me: Leslie is an adorable dog with the sweetest expressions on her face! She's a lovebug. Leslie is only 8 years old and 35 pounds. She is smart and obviously had some training and was someone’s pet. She is so eager to please and can be molded into any dog you want her to be! Please call Faustina at 806-664-1615 since she can give you details about the animals! If you call the Pampa animal shelter please refer to the animals by their number listed after the names. Thank you for you cooperation!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
