Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever (medium coat). Meet Grant — A Gentle Soul with a Big Heart Grant is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to beg for your attention — he’ll quietly walk over, look up with soft eyes, and lean in just enough to let you know he’s ready for love. This gentle giant may carry a little extra weight, but he carries even more kindness in his heart. Grant walks beautifully on leash, never in a rush, just happy to be by your side. He’s calm around other dogs, polite with new people, and seems to have mastered the art of being a genuinely good boy. Volunteers say he’s a dream to care for — patient during bath time, easy to leash up, and even easier to fall for. He came to the shelter with another dog and now peacefully shares his space with a new friend, showing us that he’s got a social, easygoing nature. He also seems to be potty trained — just another reason he’s such a catch. Grant participates in the Barks and Recreation program. Ask to see his report cards. Grant isn’t asking for much — just a soft place to land, a gentle hand, and someone who sees the quiet beauty in a dog like him.
