Dog Breed: Husky / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $450.00. Fiona arrived to our rescue on May 31st coming from Houston, TX where she was found as a stray. She is a beautiful, sweet pup that is now in search of her forever home! We believe Fiona is around 6 months old and is currently weighing 31 pounds. Our best guess is that she will end up just being a medium size girl. As for breeds, we don't know for sure, but believe she has some husky and shepherd in her (along with many other breeds). She has one blue eye and one brown eye! She is a truly beautiful dog! Fiona is shy when first meeting people and may take a little while to warm up. She absolutely loves other dogs and being in the company of them helps with her confidence. We think it would be in her best interest to have at least one other playful dog in her future home. We are not sure how she would be with cats. The fact that she is timid, we are looking for more of an adult family. Fiona does great in her crate and will go right in and lay down on command. She is a very smart girl! She is house trained for the most part with just an occassional accident. At night time, she does not sleep in the crate and does completely fine. Her foster mom is working with her on leash walking, but this is going to take her some time and patience. She goes in and out with the other dogs and seems to know her name as she does come when called. The fact that she is just learning how to walk on a leash, she should have a fenced yard. Fiona is a very sweet pup that needs a person, couple or family to help her learn confidence and continue with her training. She is spayed and current on vaccines and preventative.
