Description
Dog Breed: Terrier. Name: Tilly Age: around 3 Breed: terrier x Current size: 40lb Size potential: 40lb Leash trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes, knows the word "Kennel" Potty trained: Yes, never had an accident! Kids: Yes Other animals: Cats probably ok, Dogs, puppies only Energy level: Low/Medium House or apartment: Either Story/backgrounds: Tilly was found as a stray with a bunch of puppies that weren't even hers! Ideal home/family lifestyle: Tilly is the whole package. She comes with all of the options installed! Walks great on a leash, friendly with everyone, never had an accident inside, doesn't bark or chew, puts herself to bed when you tell her "kennel", sit, paw, down, you get the idea! She is nervous and a bit defensive around adult dogs as a result of her time defending herself and her babies on the street. She would absolutely flourish in a home without other dogs. I believe she would love to belong to a kid and/ or a family of her own. She has the patience of a saint and the manners of a lady. She is so happy to just hang out and is an all around awesome dog!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
