Dog Breed: Boxer. 01/14/2025 Hi! My name is Duke IX ! I am a handsome 8 year old flashy fawn boy that was an owner surrender due to a family member's decline in health and my family was unable to care for me any longer. I am described as friendly, active, smart, calm, playful, affectionate, and obedient! I am dog friendly but have not lived with cats so it is unsure if I am feline friendly. I lived with a 2 year old human kid and do well with him! I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep on a dog bed. When the humans were away I got lonely and sad because I love being with them. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences. I am fearful of loud noises such as thunder or fireworks. Some of my favorite things are chew toys, tug of war ropes, squeaky toys, playing fetch, exploring outside, smelling new scents, being active, tasty snacks, special treats, puzzle feeders, belly rubs, ear scratches, and quality time with the humans!
