Mickey had tested positive for heartworms and has been treated with the fast kill and will be availavle for adoption on 7-12-25 Dogs with treated heartworms live happy, high-quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. Heartworm infection is relatively common in the United States so we are in need of caring adopters like you that are willing to open their home to a dog that has already been treated to kill heartworm infection. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 10+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $150. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
