Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Recently adopted and returned. Previous adopter stated Blueberry wants to be outside all the time, very rambunctious, seeks attention and loves to be around people. Needs multiple walks, will have accidents in the house. Definitely needs a family that is willing to work with her and willing to train her out of her puppy like behavior. Will slip her collar and leash. Does not intentionally chew on furniture or destroy objects intentionally. Destructive behavior is more related to rambunctious energy and knocking things over. This petite bulldog mix arrived stray and we agree, she is quite cute! We are recommending an adult-only home or a home with older kids, as she has shown signs of resource guarding. If you have another dog, you can bring them in to meet. Stop by any day between 12-5 to learn more!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
