Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed (short coat). KEEVA FEMALE 4MONTHS 12 LBS Happy friendly girl , who gets along great with the dogs and mostly ignores the cats. We have not seen her around children. Crate trained, and doing well on housebreaking. Can be barky whe left in crate/ or alone - so apartment life is not a good match for her at this point. * she has only been in foster for apartment week - it is something we are working on and she is getting better already. She was a stray from southern OH that we pulled from the pound, so we have no background information on her. We aware guessing her around 4 months old and a medium size mix. (Beagle ? Miniature Pinscher?- I'm sure it's a unch of things haha) animal is current on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed/neutered or will go home with an already scheduled appointment. They have also been given flea prevention. Adoption fee is $350.00. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application. .ajssearchandrescue/adoption-application

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
