We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Remy is up to date on vaccines for her age. Remy has been treated for an eye infection. Our veterinarian confirmed this was due to unsanitary living conditions. Remy is a goldendoodle (her mom Fiona arrived in rescue with her). She is not hypoallergenic and will shed. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANOTHER ACTIVE DOG IN YOUR HOME, PLEASE DESCRIBE IN YOUR ADOPTION APPLICATION YOUR PLAN FOR PLAY AND SOCIALIZATION WITH A NEW PUPPY. Weight: 17 lbs and growing - Remy is underweight for a puppy. We estimate she will be between 35-45 lbs when full grown. Height: 18 in - We estimate Remy will be 24 inches when full grown. Spayed/Neutered: Remy is not spayed. Based on her overall health and condition she will be adopted on a spay/neuter addendum that requires you to spay her at your cost within 9 months and provide proof of spay. Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes - Remy requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Remy is an active, young dog. She is looking for a young, active family. Remy's ideal home has another dog in it. Puppies especially need LOTS of play and socialization. If you don't have another dog, you MUST have a plan for regular (4-5 days/week) play and socialization of at least an hour with another young dog. All she's ever known if life in a cage with too small quarters. Remy will be a great family pet. She'd love a home with kids. She's never been around cats, but is young and can be trained to be respectful. A person scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day and can provide multiple potty breaks throughout the day and night is a must. Remy is a baby and needs play breaks as well as frequent and consistent potty times to aid in potty training. What is my personality like? Remy girl has the "puppy eyes" look absolutely perfected - and she is using it to get out of learning what a leash is. She is curious, playful, and still a little wobbly in confidence. All she needs is a patient human to help her find her brave. Remy loves to play with other dogs and puppies her size. She loves food and treats, mud and water! With a little gentle guidance, Remy will make the perfect family pet. PUPPY POLICY: Thank you for carefully considering the addition of a puppy to your family. Puppies can be a joyous experience, but they can also be a tremendous amount of work. Since our goal is to place each of our dogs in forever homes, we are especially cautious with puppies. We like to stress 3 major things when considering a puppy vs. an adult dog: 1) many adult dogs are well bred, well trained dogs who find themselves in rescue through no fault of their own, 2) adult dogs are eager to share their love and bond with their new family, and 3) puppies will always require far more time, energy, and training than an adult dog. Our ideal puppy adopters are: -experienced dog owners with a solid record of excellent vet care of their previous pets -scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day and have another canine companion already in the home -stay at home type of people (work at home, home schoolers, retired, etc) How do I act when I first meet new people? Remy is so curious about people and not afraid to work her puppy charm. She won't bounce right up to you. She'd prefer to slowly approach and steal your heart! Other tips and tidbits: Remy was estimated at 4 months old when she was taken into rescue. We celebrate her birthday 02/04/2025. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet.
