Name: Dolly Best Guess for Breed: Poodle mix Best Guess for Age: 4 years as of June 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 30 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs and cats! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Special adoption considerations: This dog was rescued from a breeding operation that is shutting its doors. She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of their shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because she is shy, Dolly must go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. Dolly is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world outside of a kennel. One where she is a cherished part of a family. She's very sweet, shy, and SO ready to be a Real Dog. Extra patient and loving humans who introduce her to new places and people at her pace and a welcoming resident dog who will show her how to dog are high on her wish list! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. And one more thing: That type of coat is high maintenance. It needs daily brushing and professional grooming. Mats hurt. She loves following our dog around; with the cats she will take a quick sniff but then ignore them. She remains very shy and scared, but at the same time is very sweet. Dolly wants affection and has started to sit and asks for pets. 7/15 update: Dolly is doing really well and getting better day by day. She loves to run in the yard and play with my puppies. She is very adaptable as long as she feels safe and has a predictable routine. She would do well in a quiet house with another dog. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
