Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (long coat). Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinySluckydoganimalrescue) for more information about this pet. Shy but Sweet BETTINA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Bettina and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (7/13) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Rockville (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)! Name: Bettina Best Guess for Breed: Poodle mix Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of June 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 22 lbs Videos of Bettina: youtube/shorts/52kyi-qDEmg, youtube/shorts/Fjw9z0hLTUg Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Special adoption considerations: This dog was rescued from a breeding operation that is shutting its doors. She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of their shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because she is shy, she is REQUIRED to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. Bettina is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world outside of a kennel. One where she is a cherished part of a family. She's very sweet, shy, and SO ready to be a Real Dog. Extra patient and loving humans who introduce her to new places and people at her pace and a welcoming resident dog who will show her how to dog are high on her wish list! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. And one more thing: That type of coat is high maintenance. It needs daily brushing and professional grooming. Mats hurt. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in her body, for all her days. What do you say? Is she the one for you? Are you her new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once this pup has spent time in foster care. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
