Born outside on April 5th while his mom was tied to a tree and severely neglected, Chorizo and his five siblings spent their first nine weeks of life surviving in the woods with little to no human contact. Despite her condition, their brave momma (a lab mix) cared for them as best she could. Their dad is believed to be a chocolate lab. Now rescued and safe in a foster home, Chorizo is slowly learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for. He’s still a bit timid but is making progress every day. He’s working on socialization, potty training, and crate training—and will thrive with a patient adopter who’s committed to helping him continue to grow into a confident, happy pup. Chorizo is looking for a forever home that understands he didn’t get the easiest start and will give him the time and love he needs to flourish.
