Description
Dog Breed: Rat Terrier / Chihuahua. Sirius is a cuddly, handsome boy. He is also a ride-or-die friend, following you into every room in search of cuddles. He is also protective. If you live alone, you may benefit from such a protective dog! His bark can be loud and scary for people who don't know him. He loves to look out the window and protect his home. He can also be silly and playful. He plays great with his foster's cat, very gentle, even when the cat plays too rough, but can be dog selective. Sirius will go to his new home with all his toys, a divider for the car that keeps him in the backseat while driving, a nail grinder, his paperwork and more. He's mostly pretty quiet, unless he sees another dog out on a walk or through a window, if someone is at the door (even if he knows them), or if he is locked in a room alone. In summary, this 32 lb. 10 year old (with the energy and happy enthusiasm of a youngster) is a wonderful, smile inducing companion deserving of the best home out there! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (.dfwrescueme) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Sirius is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by foster, not by DFWRM.
