SHILOH GDP - COLLIE DOG FOR ADOPTION

Description

Dog Breed: Collie. Shiloh is kind of shy, and she is one of the most timid of all the puppies. She is a little lady, and when they other puppies are jumping up for treats or attention, she will sit back and wait her turn. She is playful and loves everyone. She does well with cats and is friendly with other dogs. Her foster home has children (ages 13, 9, and 6) and she does well with all of them. Shiloh loves to be held and snuggled, she loves to run and play chase, and she loves toys and bones. She is very active and will do best in a home with a yard large enough for her to run and with a family that will take her on walks. She is well socialized with her littermates, and she will do well being socialized with other friendly dogs from a young age. She plays with our cats, and will do well with cats as she gets older if she is around them often enough to not be overly excited when she sees one. Shiloh has a less dominant disposition than some of the other puppies, and she is not aggressive. The 8 puppies that we found (our neighbors found #9 and kept her) are fed together, and none of them are food aggressive. There was a little food aggression when we first brought them home, but we&#39ve had them for over a month now, and they realize that there is enough food for everyone, so the aggression that was displayed by a couple of them has stopped completely. Shiloh has big floppy ears that just keep getting bigger, and short little legs, giving her the appearance of having a bit of bloodhound, but we do not know for sure. We&#39re assuming that all the puppies are from the same litter, and we definitely see border collie more than anything else. Having gotten to know her individuality since she&#39s been with us, I feel like her name should have been Zahara, but we&#39ve been calling her Shiloh for 3+ weeks, so we&#39ve not changed it. A new family can obviously change it to whatever they feel is fitting, but my heart says Zahara for some reason. I also just realized that both Shiloh and Zahara are names of Angelina Jolie&#39s kids... not intentional. Shiloh has beautiful brindle patterns in her fur, too. She&#39s a very pretty girl! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Shiloh is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.
