Dog Breed: Beagle / Hound / Mixed. Meet Pixie! She's around one year old and a lean 36 lbs. She could have any number of breeds in her mix, but her foster is leaning towards beagle, coonhound, and foxhound. She is full of spunk and energy and loves to be around her people. She is doing really well in a crate and as long as she's taken out often, she's doing well with housebreaking for a dog coming from an overcrowded shelter. She's a huge fan of toys, so hopes her adopter will provide her with endless toys and chew toys. She will do best in an active household and especially while she's still young, best for someone who is home more often than they are away because she LOVES to run back and forth with a toy in her mouth for long periods of time. She hasn't been in a foster home too long, but is already making major improvements with controlling her energy. She would love someone to take her on daily walks and maybe a good candidate to learn how to catch a frisbee. Do you have an active lifestyle and want a best friend for life?
