SCDR is not responsible for any ownership, behavior, health, and representations made by the owner with respect this dog. Please contact their owner, contact her owner at tmfixsengmail. for further information. Molly Mae (previously known as Olive) is a sweet and lovable Terrier Mix, she is approximately 4 years old, and 50 lbs. She has a beautiful large brown heart on her left side. She has a clean bill of health from her vet, is up to date on all of her vaccines, and spayed. Molly craves attention, and returns it just as much. Molly is loyal, well-trained, and playful. She will stay next to you unleashed, is house trained, and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She is great with kids and other dogs, which is evident when she goes to doggie daycare and occasional boarding when we need to go out of town. Unfortunately, and with profound sadness, we have made the difficult decision that Molly must be rehomed due to our older dog (age 10) that suddenly, will no longer tolerate her being anywhere near her, and for the sake of honesty, has turned into a few altercations between the two dogs (Molly just wants to snuggle as she has for the past 4 years). This sweet girl would do amazing with a loving family that is able to give her the attention and love that she willingly will return to you. For further information on Molly Mae, please contact her owner at tmfixsengmail. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to .secondchancedogrescue and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
