Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi, I’m Brinkley! 13 months old. Full grown mixed breed. My most dominant breed is Australian Cattle dog with a lot of other breeds thrown in. I’m a happy, energetic pup who loves everything fun — playing frisbee, running zoomies with my dog friends — you name it, I’m in. I’m always ready for a walk, a jog, or maybe even learning to paddleboard. I'm eager to explore the world and try new things! I was originally brought to my foster parent home at three months old that was back in November 2024; after finishing all my medical needs I was adopted by a family with four kids. I loved those kids so much! Due to life changes (no fault of mine!), I was returned to my foster home. I’m told all the time that I’m a very good girl— and I believe it! I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and I know all my basic manners like sit and down. I walk well on a leash, and I’m a frisbee champion! Ready to meet me and fall in love? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
