Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat). Adoption Fee: 400. Meet Nina! Nina is a stunning Cane Corso Mastiff mix puppy with a heart as big as her paws. She was sadly abandoned in the Garland, TX area and came to us with severe cherry eyes. Thankfully, her cherry eyes were successfully removed during her spay, and she’s now a happy, healthy, and thriving pup ready to start her next chapter. Nina is playful, curious, and full of love—everything you'd want in a growing giant breed pup. She's looking for a forever home that understands the needs and responsibilities of owning a mastiff-type dog. ✅ Fully vetted ✅ Cherry eyes removed & spayed ✅ Social and sweet ❗Breed experience required Nina is still a puppy, so she’ll need continued training, structure, and lots of love to grow into the amazing dog we know she’ll be. If you’re ready to give this gorgeous girl the life she deserves, we’d love to hear from you!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
