Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). I was found out in the wild, wild, west of Pampa’s countryside. Can you believe that someone would dump me just like that? I’m too much of a gentleman to tan his backside. I'm a good boy that doesn't want to be cow poke wandering America. Now, all I want to do is be part of a family. I always have this silly smile on my face. So saddle up and come down to claim me, I'm good as gold! Here is what the crew has to say about me: Nick is a good looking dog that is only 10/11 months old. He is very sweet and loves to be around people and other dogs.. He is about 34 pounds true love. Please call Faustina at 806-664-1615 since she can give you details about the animals! If you call the Pampa animal shelter please refer to the animals by their number listed after the names. Thank you for you cooperation!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
