Enjoys: Being around anything that moves. Other humans and dogs. Very playful. Potty trained?: Yes Coat: Gray/White Eyes: Blue Get along with dogs? Yes Good with cats? Yes Good with kids? Yes How long have you had the pet for? 7 years Reason for rehoming: I've been married for a year now and my wife is allergic to dogs. We both love Winter, and we've tried many solutions to compensate for this. Sadly, my wife is simply too allergic and nothing is working. She's been dealing, for a full year, with respiratory issues because of Winter's fur and we've come to the decision that her health is a priority. We're now looking to rehome her with someone that can provide a good loving home. If interested contact Andres at 786.423.6662

Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
