Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. *Name: Cedar *Age: Est DOB 5/7/25 *Current Weight: 10lbs + growing *Rescued from: Georgia, fostered in NY! *Adoption fee: $550 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Meet Cedar! Born inside a shelter in rural Georgia, Cedar and his 5 littermates were able to get their start in life thanks to their amazing mom, Fern, who has lovingly cared for them every step of the way. With Mama Fern weighing in at just 25 pounds, we expect these little ones to grow into small-medium sized dogs — the perfect size for snuggles on the couch and adventures outdoors. Each pup has their own unique personality, but they all share a playful spirit, curious nature, and loving hearts. Cedar is silly, playful and loving boy. He has a heart full ol love and a tail that never stops wagging. Cedar loves to go chase his ball and is a quick learner as he is doing well with his house training and commands. As with all young pups, Cedar will thrive in a forever home who has the love, time, and patience required to raise a puppy. If you're ready to welcome a new best friend into your home — one that’s been raised with love from day one — Cedar is ready to wiggle his way into your heart. IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
