Dog Breed: Beagle / Coonhound / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200. Buster Brown is a wonderful hound mix born around 1/1/24 who was found living in a retention pond area, scratched and hungry. Buster is now thriving in his foster home! He is great with other dogs but not so much with cats! He is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in the car, and knows basic commands. Buster LOVES to be outside with his person playing in the water hose! Inside, he’s a big snuggler who loves playing with his toys. Amazing Grace Bully Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical building. If you want to meet any of our pups, the first step is to complete our online application, and someone from the Rescue will contact you. Buster is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. The Coonagle is a delightful crossbreed, combining the amiable nature of the Beagle with the rugged athleticism of the Coonhound. Originating from intentional breeding to create a versatile companion, Coonagles typically inherit a medium build, ranging from 30-60 pounds, with expressive, often floppy ears and a sturdy, muscular frame. Their coats are usually short to medium in length, coming in various color combinations, often with hound-like patterns. Temperamentally, they are known for being friendly, intelligent, and highly social, making them excellent family pets. However, their Coonhound lineage often grants them a strong prey drive and a tendency to "bay" or vocalize, which, coupled with their need for significant exercise, makes them less suitable for apartment living unless dedicated daily activity is guaranteed. Potential health considerations include those common to their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, ear infections, and certain eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are crucial for a well-adjusted Coonagle.
