Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). **Meet Solita** Solita is one of five puppies found dumped in a garbage bin. Solita may not be a littermate as she is larger and appears older. Our guess is she is 4-5 months of age. A Good Samaritan took them in, providing them with care and nourishment. Our partner rescue then took over their vet care, ensuring they received the best possible treatment. They then asked if Rompin Paws Rescue had room to take them in. How could we resist these little darlings? Azule, a small four-pound female, is part of a litter of puppies who are in the process of being housebroken and trained. They have been using peepads for indoor time at the rescue and are taken outside every few hours. However, it's essential to note that your schedule may differ, and they will require ongoing training in their new home. Each puppy has received its first set of puppy vaccines twice. They are too young and too tiny to neuter or spay. We will work with the adopters on the schedule for neutering. Currently, Solita is fed a human-grade dog food diet, and Rompin Paws offers educational resources on the best nutrition for our rescued dogs. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
